Over the millenniums bread has been a staple in our diets providing us with nutrients and energy in the barest of times. In almost every civilization a variation of bread was created, baked, eaten, and shared with generation after generation as an essential part of survival and prosperity.

These days this essential generational knowledge has been lost or forgotten for the majority of the population. The importance of homemade bread is unknown to most. The quality of our store bought bread has diminished and the ingredients have been tampered with. The passion and excitement has dwindled as our great grandparents recipes wrinkle and fade. And the store bought loaves make us question our love of bread as they result in stomach aches and an unquenchable hunger. This bread… is not real bread.

In its simplest form bread is a mixture of flour, water, salt, and a whole lot of yeast and bacteria (Also known as sourdough starter). We must also account for the love and hard work that is essential in transforming this sticky dough into a work of culinary art. There are no additives. No need for sugar or acid. Just three simple ingredients plus a willingness to learn and try again.

It is my mission to provide you with either the product or the knowledge of these three magical ingredients; To spread the love of bread; To encourage the relationships it can build; The health it can provide; And the prosperity it will bring!
